I love what I do. I am innately curious about what people think, feel, and do and the many ways this is manifested, and I am lucky that I’m able to make a living doing something that feels so natural.
I’m an experienced qualitative researcher with a solid background in consumer insights, brand strategy, and marketing communications in a range of niche, domestic, and international brands in B2C and B2B.
I know how to identify and articulate actionable insights, build and deliver strategic research recommendations, and connect the dots that help solve client questions, while ensuring to keep the seemingly complex simple.
My expertise includes:
· All manner of qualitative research - F2F and digital/virtual/online – from design, execution, analysis, to debrief
· Innovation / New product development / Brand repositioning, reinvigoration, line extensions
· New business pitches
· Creative briefs and strategies
· Strategy work sessions and workshops
· Trends analysis with primary and secondary research
Strong experience in FMCG, health/pharma, food, beverages [alcohol and not], financial services, health-and-beauty, luxury
Prior to striking out on my own, I was a Senior Director at Kantar Insights in Australia and the US. Before that I was the head of Golden Door Consulting – a consumer research and branding company based in New York City—and I spent a number of years as a strategic planner in consumer insights at a few renowned advertising agencies.
In another life I was a social worker, I used to have a blog, and I wrote a book on the joys of living single.
Underpinning my work life is a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from American University, and a Master of Science in Social Research from Hunter College. When I’m not working, I spend my time traveling [I’ve visited 32 countries], reading, walking my chihuahua, and finding ways to feed myself without cooking.
